Grateful Dead Bird Song Lyrics Fan Art Poster Print
This is a fine art reproduction of an original mixed media artwork, which is still for sale. It is based on Bird Song lyrics by the Grateful Dead, and also loosely on a long and rambling Janis Joplin quote about needing more music in our lives. Bird Song was originally dedicated to Janis by the band, and then to Jerry Garcia after he passed.
“All I know is something like a bird
Within her sang
All I know she sang a little while
And then flew on
Tell me all that you know
I’ll show you snow and rain”
One customer sent me a picture of her print framed and by her record player. Another customer bought a print for her son going to school for music. A piano teacher at an art show said she will be placing hers on top of her piano.
