Weaving & Sewing Summer Art Camp for Kids & Teens:
Thread, Yarn & Floss: Fiber Arts, June 9-12, 1:30 to 4:30pm (Ages 9-16) $200. Learn how to circle weave and embroider a mini stuffie in this summer camp. Surgeons and other medical workers are losing their finger dexterity. If your artist wants to be in the medical field or learn this relaxing art form, fiber arts is for them! Clay Sculpture Fine Art Summer Camp for Kids & Teens
Clay, June 16-19,1:30 to 4:30pm (Ages 6-12) $200. Make a pinch pot animal, a coil pot, a pencil holder and anything you can imagine in this “hands on” summer camp. We’ll learn clay sculpting techniques using air dry clay. Register for Clay Summer Art Camp here.
Mini Art Museum Summer Art Camp for Kids & Teens
Mini Art, June 23-26, 1:30 to 4:30pm – Mini Art (Ages 9-16) $200. Imagine you’ve shrunken to the size of a chipmunk and create mini artworks. We’ll be inspired by famous sculptures and paintings and also use our imaginations to create original tiny artworks. The last day of class we’ll prepare for a mini art show and reception complete with mini treats. Register for Mini Art Summer Camp here.

Laura Lynne offers boutique-sized (5 students) art classes and summer camps out of her art studio located across from Blackhawk Park in Aurora, IL. The studio address is 440 W Galena Blvd, Second Floor, Aurora, IL (sorry, no elevator). All classes include supplies.

About the Art Teacher:
Laura Lynne is best known for creating colorful and whimsical mixed media collages and murals. Since the early age of 8 years old, Laura knew she wanted to be an artist. In high school she studied photography and figure drawing, taking classes at a local college and MIAD. Learning black and white photography and figure drawing influenced her art by creating a strong foundation in light and value. She attended UW-Madison, then UW-Milwaukee where she took a summer to travel around Europe, Egypt and the Mediterranean countries studying art history on location. Laura received her BFA with a concentration in Painting and Drawing from UW-Milwaukee. She kicked off her teaching experience with an artist-in-residence at the DuPage Children’s Museum, then a 4 year artist-in-residence with Indian Prairie School District where she taught classes, summer camps, and workshops in-person and online. In 2023, Laura started teaching grades K-8 and art clubs at a local private school. Laura has called Aurora, IL home since 2008. She is an enthusiastic participant in Aurora’s growing art scene.
