Online Private Art Classes for Kids or Adults
If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like to drive or likes to feel comfortable in their own space, online private art classes are for you! I’ve been teaching online art classes to elementary students for over 5 years with much success and fun! Young students who may have trouble in school with attention or disruptions find this isn’t an issue in online art classes. A laptop or pc and the internet works just fine for Zoom art classes. You don’t need to purchase any extra cameras, microphones or other equipment. When teaching online, I like to inspire students by looking at famous artworks and nature photos, then showing demos and art examples. Then, students are encouraged to use their creativity to take the project in any direction they choose. You can show me your work by holding it up in the screen or taking a photo and emailing it so I can see it clearer to give feedback.
- Cost: $40 per hour. Supplies are not included.
- Supplies: I will send you a list of supplies for the class. Student grade art supplies work well for most projects, however, if you’re an adult, or a more experienced artist, you may want to purchase professional grade.
(Did you have a bad experience with online classes during Covid? Ask me about a free 15 minute sample class for your student.)
Praise for Laura Lynne’s Online Art Classes:
“…I can already tell how enriching the program has been for my child [age 6] … Laura Lynne is so patient and thoughtful in her responses and how she explains what art skill they are learning during the class. She really allows and provides a safe and creative environment for the children to learn and grow as young art students.” – Amanda Hunkler, 2025
About the Art Teacher:
Laura Lynne is best known for creating colorful and whimsical mixed media collages and murals. Since the early age of 8 years old, Laura knew she wanted to be an artist. In high school she studied photography and figure drawing, taking classes at a local college and MIAD. She attended UW-Madison, then UW-Milwaukee where she took a summer to travel around Europe, Egypt and the Mediterranean countries studying art history on location. Laura received her BFA with a concentration in Painting and Drawing from UW-Milwaukee. She kicked off her teaching experience with an artist-in-residence at the DuPage Children’s Museum, then a 4 year artist-in-residence with Indian Prairie School District where she taught classes, summer camps, and workshops in-person and online. In 2023, Laura started teaching grades K-8 and art clubs at a local private school.
