Quarantine Coloring Pages – 2020

I hope this finds you well and rested. I created two downloadable coloring pages. Let me know what you think.

I like the idea of growing or transforming while I’m safe quarantining in our home cocoon. It makes me feel like snuggling under a warm blanket and drinking tea. The caterpillar positions itself upside down, then the chrysalis forms, then the butterfly emerges. The saying is inspired by the Italians who created rainbow art with a similar message I read in an article here.

When life hands you lemons, make some lemonade.  Maybe we can all do something good with our extra time.  Learn a new language, read more books, exercise, learn healthy recipes, talk to our families on the phone more, etc… Do you have a saying that maybe your grandparents said that helped you though tough times? If so, please share it in the comments and it might be inspiration for the next coloring page.

(Updated thoughts, May 2025:  The design below makes me think about global warming and how we are using up the world’s resources like squeezing every last bit of juice out of a lemon.  If we used the resources to make the world more sustainable, that would be a good thing, but lemonade is consumed and then it’s gone… So I don’t like this design anymore, but I’ll keep it up on the blog.)

I would LOVE to see the way you colored your page! Please use #LLAColoringClub on social media so I can see your beautiful works of art.
